Online lecture series on Computational Methods in Dynamical Systems
The 2026 edition of the online Zoom lecture series Computational Methods in Dynamical Systems will take place from August 31 to September 4, 2026, as part of the Hokkaido Summer Institute program at Hokkaido University.
The aim of the lecture series is to introduce software libraries and the underlying theory that provide tools for computer-assisted proofs, rigorous computation, and nonrigorous numerical investigation of problems in dynamical systems.
The program will include:
- introductory lectures on dynamical systems and ergodic theory;
- tutorials on the Julia programming language and interval arithmetic libraries;
- methods for computer-assisted proofs; and
- data science methods for the study of dynamical systems.
